The Shaykh (R) called this formula of invoking blessings upon the Prophet (S ) Kanz al-ḥaqā’iq fī al-ṣalāti ʿalā ashrafi-l-khalā’iq (The Treasure of Inner Truths in Blessing the Noblest of Creation). It was upon this formula of blessing, which he received by inspiration from the presence of the Prophet (S), that Sīdī Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥabīb asked Shaykh al-ʿAlawī (or Sīdī Binʿalīwa, as he was affectionately known) to write a commentary, referred to on page 24 of the biography. This commentary, entitled Dawḥat al-asrār fī al-ṣalāt ʿalā l-nabiyyi l-mukhtār (The lofty tree of mysteries in the invocation of blessings upon the chosen Prophet), printed several times by the ʿAlawiyya Press, Mustaghanim (Algeria), can be read on-line (in Arabic) at https://fr.calameo.com/read/002607472502cec8c4d1c.
