O LatÏf, O LatÏf ! Is not Kindness Yours? For You are al-LatÏf and Your Kindness envelops us (RE 66, OE 60)
This qaṣīda, in its orginal form, is attributed to Sīdī Muḥammad bin ʿAlī al-Sanūsī, founder of the Ṭarīqat al-Sanūsiyya. In the version included in the wird, certain verses have been removed and replaced by those addressing Allāh as al-Ḥafīz, the Protector.
